Agency – Railroad
Retirement Board (RRB)
Agency Strategy:
The following actions have been taken, or will be taken, to provide
opportunities for service-disabled veteran businesses to
significantly increase their contracting and subcontracting with the
RRB.
- The Director of
Administration is the senior-level official designated with the
responsibility for developing and implementing the RRB’s strategy;
- The RRB will make the
strategy publicly available through its website and report
progress annually to the Small Business Administration;
- The RRB will include
development and implementation of its strategy and achievements in
furtherance of the strategy as significant elements in the
performance plans of its designated senior-level official, chief
acquisition officer, and director of small and disadvantaged
business utilization;
- The RRB will reserve certain
contracts exclusively for service-disabled veteran businesses;
- The RRB will encourage and
facilitate participation by service-disabled veteran businesses in
competitions for award of the agency’s contracts;
- The RRB will encourage its
contractors to subcontract with service-disabled veteran
businesses and actively monitor and evaluate its contractors’
efforts to do so;
- The RRB will train its
personnel on applicable law and policies relating to participation
of service-disabled veteran businesses in federal contracting; and
- The RRB will disseminate
information to service-disabled veteran businesses that would
assist these businesses in participating in awards of the agency’s
contracts.
