GSA’s Web Manager University (WMU) offers practical and affordable training for Web professionals of federal, state, and local government websites. We provide Web and usability specialists with a multidisciplinary curriculum that addresses the varied responsibilities of managing government websites. The multidisciplinary curriculum addresses the broad range of skills that government Web managers need to improve their websites.  Virtually every cabinet agency and many independent agencies have sent participants for training. Nearly all the classes receive outstanding ratings.

WMU is the only training program of its kind for government Web managers.  Commercial vendors offer training in Web management, but it is rarely targeted to a government audience and is often beyond the budget of most federal agencies.  WMU offers affordable training that focuses on delivering hands-on, practical skills that Web staff can apply immediately.

WMU also provides a venue for government Web staff to share ideas, common challenges, and best practices – to collectively improve the quality of U.S. government websites for the benefit of the American people.
