174 pages

Anna Mae Pictou Aquash was born March 27, 1945, in Shubenacadi, Nova Scotia, Canada. She was one of the suspects in the murders of FBI Special Agents Ronald A. Williams and Jack R. Coler on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation, Ogalala, South Dakota on June 26, 1975. Ms. Aquash was friends of two other suspects, Leonard Pelitier and Dennis James Banks. The body of Anna Mae Pictou Aquash was found on February 24, 1976 on the Pine Ridge Reservation, near Warblee, South Dakota. Initially, the cause of death was believed to be exposure to the elements, but a subsequent autopsy determined that she had been shot execution style in the back of the head.
