Washington, D.C. (November 17, 2004) — The Federal Retirement Thrift Investment Board announced today that Mercer Investment Consulting, Inc. has been selected to assist in the development of lifecycle funds for the Thrift Savings Plan.  For more information, see the press release.

Washington, D.C. (October 14, 2004) — Absent legislation by Congress to raise the Federal debt limit, the Secretary of the Treasury may determine that portions of the monies in the Government Securities Investment (G) Fund cannot be reinvested in Treasury securities because to do so would exceed the present Federal debt limit.  However, G Fund investors are protected by a statutory make-whole provision requiring that the interest which would have accrued had the G Fund been fully invested be credited to the G Fund.  For additional information, click here.

Washington, D.C. (June 16, 2004) — The Federal Retirement Thrift Investment Board announced today that it will begin providing toll-free telephone service to Thrift Savings Plan (TSP) participants and beneficiaries beginning July 1, 2004.  For more information, see the press release.
