Job Search Program (RV 102)

This program helps participants acquire the skills and knowledge needed to be successful in a job search through an intensive learning experience of individual/group training and counseling. It offers a wide variety of outside speakers and other activities to aid in the decisions of what to do after retirement and how to go about finding a job. The course emphasizes skill assessment, resume preparation, interviewing techniques, and networking.

Participants include Foreign Service and employees who are retiring or being involuntarily separated (other than for cause). The length of the program varies from one to two months depending on classification and agency. There is a one-month workshop for all participants and a zero to one-month individual job search.
