First Avenue Shuttle Service – during & after Mariners Games

During times when regular 1st Avenue and 1st Avenue S bus service is rerouted to the SODO Busway or 2nd or 4th Avenues or Airport Way S between S Lander Street & Columbia Street, Metro operates the 1st Avenue Shuttle in both directions between S Spokane Street in SODO & Seneca Street in downtown Seattle. See Shuttle route and stops made below.

  • The Shuttle operates on weekday games that start after 5:00 PM and all weekend and holiday home games*.
  • The Shuttle starts 90 minutes after the first pitch and operates approximately every 15 minutes in each direction, but is subject to possible delays due to traffic.
  • Ride the Shuttle northbound or southbound to connect with regular 1st Avenue bus service at bus stops north of Marion Street downtown or south of S Lander Street in SODO.
  • The Shuttle serves all posted stops in both directions along 1st Avenue & 1st Avenue S, except for the stop outside Safeco Field's southwest gate - northbound on 1st Avenue S just north of Edgar Martinez Drive S, which is closed during Mariners games.
  • Pay a regular fare on the Shuttle and request a transfer if necessary. All regular passes and transfers are accepted, and transfers are issued upon request and payment of a full cash fare.
  • The 1st Avenue Shuttle does not operate during or after Weekday home games that start prior to 5:00 PM. On those days:
