There are a series of icons throughout USA Trade Online. Use the tables below to familiarize yourself with each and their respective functions.

Table A: Basic Toolbar. These are available on every page beyond the data selection screen once you've logged in.


View table

Displays your current selections in the form of a table.


View chart

Displays your current selections in the form of a chart or graph.


Expand all / Collapse all

Expands or collapses all the groups at once.


Expand to first selected member

Expands the path leading to the first selected member. Any other expanded groups are collapsed.
  • If clicked when no members are selected, this button collapses all.



Search box /
Search / Show all

Enables you to search for members.
  • To perform a simple search, first enter one or more search terms in the text box. Then click the "Search" button and select Basic Search. (You can also simply press "Enter" after entering the search terms.) A list appears showing the dimension members that contain all of the search terms.
  • To perform an advanced search, first enter one or more search terms in the search box. Then click the "Search" button and select Advanced Search. The Find Results dialog appears.
  • To clear the search results, click the "Show all" button.
  • Note: Any time you are viewing the complete set of available members, the "Show all" button appears in its "Selected" state, as shown here. Once you have clicked the "Search" button to perform a search, the "Search" button changes to its "Selected" state to indicate that you are viewing search results.


Show selected

Click to show only the selected members for the current dimension.
  • Members appear with complete path information. For example: All Products -> Food -> Snacks -> Candy -> Chocolate Candy.
  • Note: Once this button has been clicked, it appears in its "Selected" state, as shown here. This indicates that you are viewing the set of selected members.


Show all

Click to show all the dimension members, both selected and unselected. (Also clears search results.)
  • Note: Once this button has been clicked, it appears in its "Selected" state, as shown here. This indicates that you are viewing all the available dimension members.

Table B: Table/Chart Toolbar


View table

Displays your current selections in the form of a table.


View chart

Displays your current selections in the form of a chart or graph.


Set dimension order

Opens the Set dimension order dialog, which enables you to rearrange a report's dimensions without using drag-and-drop.


Calculate

Opens the Calculate dialog, which enables you to apply calculations to a report's data values.


Suppress empty rows/columns

Opens the Suppress dialog, which enables you to show or hide empty rows and columns.


Scaling

Opens the Scaling dialog, which enables you to apply a scaling factor to the values in a report.


Exception highlighting

Opens the Exception highlighting dialog, which enables you to apply colors to the data cells for up to five ranges of data.


Table options

Opens the Table options dialog, which enables you to choose the number of table rows and columns to appear on your report page. This button only appears when viewing a table.


Chart Options

Opens the Chart options dialog, which enables you to select a chart type and choose whether you want to display data labels. This button only appears when viewing a chart.


Save report

Opens the Save report dialog, which enables you to save a table or chart on the server.
  • You must sign in to USA Trade Online before you can save reports. This button only appears if you have signed in.


Download report data

Opens the Download report data dialog, which enables you to download a report to your computer.


Print setup

Opens the Print Setup dialog, which enables you to specify settings for printing.


Printable version

Displays the current report in printable form. To print, use your browser's Print preview and Print commands.


Create Time Series Sets

Creates new Time Series sets used to display time series dimensions with various periodicities and rates of growth.


Edit Time Series Sets

Modifies previously created Time series sets.

Table C: Report Icons. These are used to navigate through your saved reports.


Reports - Data Selection Screen

Returns you to the Data Source Selection Screen and clears all active data selections, allowing you to start new.


My reports

Changes the page to My reports, which contains reports that you have previously saved.
  • This button only appears if you have signed in and are on the Data Source Selection Screen


Public reports - Data Selection Screen

Returns you to the Data Source Selection Screen page if you're currently in My Reports.
  • This button only appears if you have signed in and are on My Reports page.


Move to folder

Opens the Move to folder dialog, which enables you to move a report to a different folder in My reports. More than one report can be moved to a folder at a time.


Create a new folder

Opens the Create a new folder dialog, which enables you to create a new folder in My reports.


Delete

Removes the selected reports. A dialog appears asking you to confirm.


Change

Opens the Change title and notes dialog, which enables you to edit the title and summary notes of a report. (If a folder is selected, this button opens the Change Folder Name dialog. Enter a new name for the folder and click OK.)


Sort

Opens the Sort dialog, which enables you to sort folders and reports in ascending or descending order.


Move to top / Move up

Moves the selected report to the top of the report list, or up by one position. Only one report can be moved at a time.


Move down / Move to bottom

Moves the selected report down by one position, or to the bottom of the report list. Only one report can be moved at a time.


Help

Displays the online help.
