The KCAPCD’s January 8, 2009 Board of Director’s meeting has been rescheduled for Thursday, January 15th, 1:00 P.M. at the Golden Hills Community Service District, located at 21415 Reeves Street, Tehachapi, CA.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a public hearing will be held on Wednesday, February 4, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. in the Mojave Air & Spaceport Board Room, 1434 Flightline, Mojave, CA. EPA PRESS RELEASE:  On September 25, 2008, EPA approved our request to separate the East Kern portion of the SJV PM-10 nonattainment area from the SJV Air Basin portion.  The East Kern (Kern River Valley, Walker Basin, Keene, Bear Valley and Cummings Valley) portion will remain a PM-10 nonattainment area. EPA also approved the commitment from the Air Resources Board and our District to establish a monitor in Canebrake and to take appropriate Clean Air Act action based on data from that monitor. Priority Processing:   New beginning April 1, 2008, Priority Processing available.  The Priority Processing Fee shall be 1.5 times an Air Quality Engineer II, 5th step hourly salary multiplied by the total actual overtime hours worked ($54.88 per hour) plus the Application Processing fee (Rule 303.II--$40.00 per hour). Applicant must note on their application that they agree to the Fee and for how many hours of overtime processing they are willing to pay for in order to process the application.
