RSS, which is an acronym that stands for Really Simple Syndication or Rich Site Summary, is an
XML-based system used by the United States Mint to deliver automatically certain content and
information ("United States Mint RSS Content") to users who subscribe using an RSS
news aggregator.
By accessing United States Mint RSS Content, you are agreeing to the following RSS Terms of Use
and to the main Terms of Use for United States
Mint Web sites, any of which may be changed by the United States Mint at any time by posting online,
provided that in the event of a conflict between these terms and the main Terms of Use for United
States Mint Web sites, these RSS Terms of Use shall govern:

Use of United States Mint RSS Content is subject to all applicable laws and regulations,
including without limitation those relating to use of the name, seal, symbols, trademarks and
servicemarks and other insignia of the United States Mint. (e.g., 18 U.S.C. § 7091

use only. Any other use is strictly prohibited, including without limitation:

placing of advertising associated with, or targeted towards, United States Mint RSS Content
whenever United States Mint RSS Content is viewable in any manner consistent with these RSS
Terms of Use or as otherwise permitted by the United States Mint.
You may not edit or modify any United States Mint RSS Content (including but not limited to text,
content or links) in any manner, nor may you display or post United States Mint RSS Content on a
web site within a frame or otherwise, without the express written permission of the United States

By offering United States Mint RSS Content, the United States Mint is not:

granting any right or license to use any:

name, seal, symbol or other trademarks, servicemarks or other insignia of the United

designs or artwork that may be contained in United States Mint RSS Content;

granting any waiver, release, or written permission of the Director under
18 U.S.C. § 709 or 31 U.S.C. § 333; or

waiving or abandoning any rights in designs, artwork or other intellectual property assigned
or licensed to it.

The United States Mint makes no warranty of any kind and expressly disclaims any and all implied warranties
relating to United States Mint RSS Content or its provision. No personal right or cause of action is
conferred, nor is any duty or obligation relieved, by United States Mint RSS Content or its provision, or by
these or any other United States Mint Terms of Use or policy. The United States Mint reserves the right to
discontinue providing any or all United States Mint RSS Content at any time, and to require you to cease
using any or all United States Mint RSS Content for any reason including, without limitation, violation of
any these (or other United States Mint) Terms of Use. Use of any United States Mint RSS services and of
United States Mint RSS Content is entirely at the user’s own risk, and the United States Mint assumes and
bears no liability for activities undertaken in connection with United States Mint RSS services or United
States Mint RSS Content.
1 18 U.S.C. § 709 prohibits a person from knowingly using, without written permission of the
Director of the United States Mint, "the words 'United States Mint'; or 'U.S. Mint' or any colorable
imitation of such words, in connection with any advertisement, circular, book, pamphlet, or other
publication, play, motion picture, broadcast, telecast, or other production, in a manner reasonably calculated
to convey the impression that such advertisement, circular, book, pamphlet, or other publication, play, motion
picture, broadcast, telecast, or other production, is approved, endorsed, or authorized by or associated in
any manner with, the United States Mint."
2 31 U.S.C. § 333 prohibits a person from using, "in connection with, or as a part of, any
advertisement, solicitation, business activity, or product, whether alone or with other words, letters, symbols,
or emblems [of the Treasury Department, its bureaus, including the United States Mint, and its officials,
including United States Mint officials] . . . in a manner which could reasonably be interpreted or construed as
conveying the false impression that such advertisement, solicitation, business activity, or product is in any
manner approved, endorsed, sponsored, or authorized by, or associated with, the Department of the Treasury or
any [Treasury Department bureau or official]."
