Strandley Manning - Fish Habitat Restored

The investigation and cleanup of the Strandley-Manning Superfund site provides an excellent example of a cost-effective, cooperative solution to an environmental problem. The risk that the site posed to human health, the environment, and natural resources was substantially reduced or eliminated by the remedy, and the ongoing monitoring program should confirm this. By working creatively together, the responsible party, EPA, and the natural resource trustees were able to save substantial administrative and legal costs for all parties and restore the picturesque stream you see below.
