Strandley Manning - Dissected Fish

Fish residing in the stream were highly contaminated with PCBs. The degree of contamination in fish from the pond would suggest that female fish would pass significant concentrations of PCBs to their eggs, which could reduce hatch success and larval survival. Below you see how laboratory fish were dissected to determine tissue body burdens.
