For Safety And Health Success By Giving Highest Honor WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. -- The U.S. Department of Labor's Occupational Safety and Health Administration will officially induct Frito-Lay, Inc., Williamsport, Pa. into its Voluntary Protection Program as a STAR site at a special flag ceremony on Mon., June 10 at 11:00 a.m. The ceremony will take place at the Frito-Lay facility, located on North Reach Road in Williamsport, Pa. Richard Soltan, OSHA regional administrator, will make the presentation. The Frito-Lay facility produces snack foods, including Cheetos cheese puffs and Restaurant Style Tostitos tortilla chips. The company is noted for having three-year recordable injuries and lost workday incidence rates that are 67 and 68 percent below the industry average respectively. The STAR program, designed for worksites with comprehensive, successful safety and health programs, is open to any industry, and to companies with injury rates below the industry's national average. ### U.S. Labor Department news releases are accessible on the Internet at www.dol.gov.
