Public Law 105-85 (National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year
1998), the Congress authorized a PROGRAM TO COMMEMORATE 50TH ANNIVERSARY
OF THE KOREAN CONFLICT." "The Secretary of Defense may conduct
a program to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Korean conflict."
"....the Secretary may coordinate, support, and facilitate other
programs and activities of the Federal Government, State and local
governments, and other persons in commemoration of the Korean conflict."
