As installed, this containment was tested with a 32 lb steel projectile traveling at approximately 60 mph (88 ft/s). The polycarbonate thickness is ½ inch, however, the design can accommodate a thickness range of ¼ inch - ¾ inch. A bulletproof polycarbonate laminate, such as Lexgard®, could also be installed for protection against small arms fire.
