The terms herein are not necessarily the only valid definitions for these terms. Words and definitions in these glossaries that explain or summarize elements of existing water law are not intended to change that law in any way.
Sources of each definition are given when available. Please consult the sources for additional information concerning the terms listed in this glossary. Reference to this and other glossaries is intended as a guide for water resources planning and design and is not intended to replace the judgment of a qualified design engineer on a particular project.
