October 3, 2006 - The Honorable Michael O. Leavitt, Secretary of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, met with the Honorable Mario Ginés González Garcia, the Minister of Health of the Republic of Argentina on September 26, 2006 to sign an Arrangement Relevant to Health. For application of the Arrangement, each country is to create a Bipartite Commission comprised of representatives from each country, which will meet at least once a year.

HHS shares a highly productive and collaborative relationship with Argentina that covers a broad range of topics, including HIV/AIDS and other infectious diseases, cancer, the environment and health, and bioethics.
