GIVE Act Helps Volunteers with Gas Costs
The high price of gasoline is hurting volunteers who use their automobiles to serve their communities, making it harder for charities to meet people’s needs. The Giving Incentives to Volunteers Everywhere (GIVE) Act, introduced this month by Senators Schumer (D-NY) and Ensign (R-NV), would ease the burden on volunteers by correcting two problems in the tax laws. Join the effort to help our volunteers by signing onto a charitable community letter urging support for the GIVE Act (S. 3429) and by asking your Senators to co-sponsor the bill.
