MISSION

The mission of DISA-JFCOM is to coordinate DISA services to support JFCOM/component daily and contingency operations, and to synchronize DISA and JFCOM/component initiatives to transform DoD to full Net-Centric Operations Warfare capability.

VISION

The Vision of DISA-JFCOM is to know our mission partners so well that we anticipate their need for DISA services to support command operations and transformation initiatives — known, trusted and out-front.

FUNCTIONS

DISA US Joint Forces Command (USJFCOM) Field Office directs and manages DISA support to USJFCOM and its subordinate commands in:
  • GIG/DISN NetOps through CNOSC, IA, and DISN node management.
  • Circuit/bandwidth provisioning for local Tidewater area and FORSCOM.
  • Employing C2 applications such as GCCS, GCSS, DMS and collaborative tools.
  • Joint systems integration by leveraging Joint Systems Integration Command (JSIC) and JITC capabilities.
  • Monitoring DVSG video teleconferencing support performance.
  • Development of Joint Operational Architectures such as JNTC, SJFHQ, and HLS.
  • Managing JFCOM subordinate command operations/exercises.
  • Developing plans to implement Joint C4 military transformation initiatives.
  • Developing plans to implement Multi-national Limited Objective Experiments.
  • Providing Information Technology acquisition.
  • Migrating multiple disparate classified and unclassified networks to the DISN.
Directs and manages DISA support to other local Tidewater area organizations:

  • N.W STEP/Teleport, NETWARCOM, Norfolk NOB, Ft Monroe, Langley AFB,
    and the JFSC.

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS

The Commander of DISA-USJFCOM reports directly to and receives operational direction from DISA's Principal Director for GIG Operations.
