MISSION

DISA African Command (AFRICOM) Field Office mission is "Provide quality, timely and cost-effective information services to U.S. Africa Command (AFRICOM), its components and other customers in the AFRICOM Area of Responsibility (AOR).

  • Serve as the focal point for all DISA activities supporting U.S. Forces in AFRICOM Region.
  • Support the preparation, coordination and execution of AFRICOM command, control, communications and computer system plans in conducting JCS directed contingency operations, humanitarian assistance, disaster relief, and peacekeeping missions.

The DISA AFRICOM Field Office is the DISA Director's representative to AFRICOM for all DISA programs, services and initiatives supporting the war fighter." AFRICOM is the single DISA voice in African Command's AOR.

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS

The Commander of the AFRICOM Field Office reports directly to and receives operational direction from the Principal Director for GIG Operations.
