High Desert Joshua Tree Proposed Issuance of Emission Reduction Credits for TXI

On January 8th, the District has proposed the issuance of 900 tons of NOx ERC’s. Comment period ends February 11th. See the following three documents for more information.

Phase II Enhanced Vapor Recovery Advisory

Enhanced Phase II vapor recovery (EVR Phase II) systems must be installed by April 1, 2009 for ALL Gasoline Dispensing Facilities with underground tanks, as required by State Law, the California Air Resources Board, and the Mojave Desert AQMD by delegated authority.

PRESENTATIONS FROM CDAWG 2008

75 members of air agencies and regulated industry took part in this year’s California Desert Air Working Group Conference, which was held on November 6 & 7 in La Quinta, California. This year’s conference – which was sponsored by the Mojave Desert AQMD, the Mojave Environmental Education Consortium, Southern California Edison, Inland Energy and A&WMA’s West Coast Section – featured presentations on topics ranging from CR-6 Testing at Mojave Desert Cement Plants to a special Risk Communication Workshop presented by Arnold Den, Senior Science Advisor for USEPA Region 9. This year’s Keynote speaker was Dan Pellisier, Deputy Secretary for Energy Policy Coordination for CAL/EPA. Below is a list of all presentations from CDAWG 2008!

MDAQMD Named Climate Action Leader for 4th Straight Year!

The MDAQMD is pleased to announce that it has reduced its greenhouse gas emissions by 35% since its baseline year of 2004.  Based on this accomplishment, the District has been named a Climate Action Leader by the California Climate Action Registry for the 4 th consecutive year!
