Joint American Academy of Family Physicians Foundation - AAFP Grant Awards

PURPOSE: To support research projects in family medicine / practice.

DEADLINE: July 1; January 5

SUMMARY: The AAFP/F and American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP) through the Joint Grant Awards Program (JGAP) does not seek proposals that grant support for such activities as educational programs or projects (e.g., designing a curriculum, supporting a seminar, or producing an instructional video-tape) and will not normally be considered for grant support.

Eligibility

The following are eligible to receive a grant:

  • Individual family physicians;
  • Family medicine/practice organizations or associations;
  • Family practice residency programs;
  • Departments of family practice;
  • Educational and health-care institutions or organizations which will use the JGAP support exclusively for research projects directly involving and impacting on family medicine/practice.
