Stanford University – Medical Oncology Positions in Gastrointestinal, Thoracic and Urologic Malignancies

The Stanford University School of Medicine and the Stanford Cancer Center invite applications for three faculty positions in the Division of Oncology at the level of Assistant or Associate Professor in the Medical Center Line. Candidates should have clinical research experience in either gastrointestinal, thoracic, or urologic oncology or a record of accomplishment in clinical care and teaching.

The Stanford University School of Medicine and the Stanford Cancer Center invite applications for three faculty positions in the Division of Oncology at the level of Assistant or Associate Professor in the Medical Center Line. Candidates should have clinical research experience in either gastrointestinal, thoracic, or urologic oncology or a record of accomplishment in clinical care and teaching. The major criteria for appointment for faculty in the Medical Center Line shall be excellence in the overall mix of clinical care, clinical teaching, scholarly activity that advances clinical and translational medicine, and institutional service-appropriate to the programmatic need the individual is expected to fulfill.

It is expected that the successful applicant will develop an independent and translational clinical research program. Participation in ongoing research projects is also encouraged. Successful candidates will have demonstrated their ability to obtain funding for clinical research. Collaborations with colleagues in related disciplines, including research activities, and participation in tumor boards and combined modality clinics are important aspects of this position.
