A large percentage of the present and future energy resources of the United States reside in the Gulf of Mexico Basin, one of the major hydrocarbon producing areas of the world.
This interactive mapping system is one component of the U. S. Geological Surveys Framework Studies and Assessment of the Gulf Coast Project, a project that provides the geologic, geophysical, and geochemical framework for the region.
This IMS was developed by the Central Region Energy Team.
