Governor of Hawaii and Senior Energy Official to Announce Cooperation to Advance Clean Energy Technologies

WASHINGTON, DC –On Monday, January 28, 2008, Governor Linda Lingle of Hawaii and U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Assistant Secretary for Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy Alexander Karsner will announce efforts by DOE and the State of Hawaii to strengthen and promote clean energy technologies across the state.  Assistant Secretary Karsner is expected to highlight how this clean energy cooperation furthers the Administration’s comprehensive strategy to transform our energy infrastructure to ensure security and reliability.
