Abstract

Lighthouse International provides direct services and information to help people who are blind (or with low vision) lead independent lives. The Lighthouse also conducts professional and continuing-education courses for low vision practitioners and professionals in related fields; provides national and international contact information for local support groups, low vision services, rehabilitation agencies, state agencies and advocacy groups; and operates a retail and mail order store with low vision products.

Publications

Serial Publications: Envision (e-newsletter), for parents and teachers of children with impaired vision; Aging and Vision News (e-newsletter), for professionals engaged in research, education, and practice in eye/vision care and aging; Sharing Solutions (large-print newsletter)--2X per year, for people with impaired vision and their support networks. General Publications: Printed and audiovisual materials on vision, vision disorders, treatment options and rehabilitation strategies.
