Abstract

The purpose of the American Network of Community Options and Resources (ANCOR), formerly National Association of Private Residential Resources, is to represent and assist private agencies that provide residential and other supports and services to people with mental retardation and other disabilities, to enable them to appropriately meet the needs and improve the quality of life of the people they serve. Membership is open to agencies that provide residential and other supports and services to people with developmental disabilities whose primary disability is mental retardation. Not-for-profit and proprietary agencies are eligible for membership. Associate membership is available for agencies and individuals who do not quality for full membership.

Publications

LINKS, ANCOR's monthly newsletter, provides comprehensive information on all aspects of supports and services in the field of mental retardation and other disabilities. ALERTS on legislative, regulatory, and funding issues are sent to members as needed. DIRECTORY OF MEMBERS lists all member agencies and is available for $25.00. The ANCOR publications list is available upon request. Washington Insiders Club, available to members, provides weekly e-mail updates on Capitol Hill issues.
