The National Amputation Foundation (NAF) was founded in 1919 to serve the needs of veteran and civilian amputees. Services include the exchange of visits among amputees, legal counsel, vocational guidance and placement, social activities, psychological aid, and distribution of educational materials.
Publications
NAF publishes reprints of articles and pamphlets on such subjects as prosthetics, psychological aspects of amputation, and practical guidelines for the amputee. Serial publication: AMP (newsletter), bi-monthly.
