I'd like hydrologic data and information for streams, rivers or lakes. Where can I find this?

There are several Internet sites that specialize in information about streams, rivers and lakes around the world. NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center maintains the Global Hydrology and Climate Center, while the United States Geological Survey (USGS) maintains a comprehensive web site covering water quality, surface and groundwater monitoring, lake levels, discharge rates and other facets of continental hydrology.
