Established 1957
Since 1957, the Corvallis Plant Materials Center (PMC) has provided plant
solutions for western Washington and Oregon. The Center has also developed new
technology for low maintenance landscaping, native tree and shrub establishment,
riparian and wetland restoration, soil bioengineering and native plant use in
ecological landscape restoration. The Center’s releases of improved conservation
plants include varieties of western dogwood, California oatgrass,
blue wildrye, willows, spirea and lupine.
