Mission The Information Assurance/NetOps Program Executive Office (PEO IAN) manages, acquires/develops, and implements DoD information assurance (IA) and NetOps capabilities, providing responsive, secure, and interoperable net-centric solutions necessary to secure and operate the global information grid (GIG) in support of the secretary of defense, combatant commanders, joint/combined task forces, services, and agencies.
Structure

Program Controls & Acquisition Division (IA1) Ensures effective and efficient application, planning, programming, budgeting and execution of IA resources for all of DISA in concert with DoD goals and objectives. Additionally, performs acquisition oversight and support to the PEO IAN for IA/computer network defense solutions.

NetOps Division (IA2) develops the tools and capabilities necessary to implement an integrated vision of Net-Centric Enterprise Services for network operations across the GIG. The division also provides active program management during all development, acquisition, integration, and operational transition phases, and it integrates a comprehensive situational awareness capability using all enterprise sensor data sources to support unprecedented NetOps for the Department of Defense (DoD).

CND Solutions Division (IA3) develops integrated and interoperable net-centric IA architectural solutions in support of the GIG; ensure the security of the GIG through the engineering, architecture, development, testing, acquisition, and fielding of network security products and solutions; and plans and manages lifecycle activities of computer network defense capabilities.

Identity Management Division (IA4) provides secure and reliable identity management services for DoD applications and systems. Services include identification, authentication, authorization, encryption, digital signature, integrity, and biometrics for consumers (e.g., business processes, applications, users) to support the GIG enterprise service. The division also designs, builds, integrates, implements, and sustains the DoD Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), joint enterprise directory services (including global directory services), and other identify-management services as they are defined.

GEMSIS Division (IA5) develops a net-centric incremental path to achieve a comprehensive geo-reference and an environmentally-aware, dynamic-frequency spectrum management capability that provides commanders with an enhanced common picture of spectrum situational awareness depicting friendly and hostile forces while transparently de-conflicting competing mission requirements for spectrum use.
