Executive Summary: The National Transportation Safety Board’s 2002 Annual Review of Aircraft Accident Data for U.S. General Aviation is a statistical compilation and review of general aviation accidents that occurred in 2002 involving U.S.-registered aircraft. As a summary of all U.S. general aviation accidents for 2002, the review is designed to inform general aviation pilots and their passengers and to provide detailed information to support future government, industry, and private research efforts and safety improvement initiatives.
