Misson: The Financial Management Systems Inventory Project was conceived and created in 2001 with the goal of collecting and distributing data from 30 agencies of the federal govenment. The use of XML was emphasized.
Costs:

The contact price for this system was $68,000 and it was completed in 4 months.
 

Hardware:

The web site was added to an existing GSA server, which also hosts www.facadatabase.gov.

  • Windows NT 4.0 is the operating system.

  • SQL Server 7.0 is the database server.

  • Internet Information Server is the web server.

  • All provided by Microsoft.

Software:
  • Programming is done in Visual Basic.
  • Programming is executed by Active Server Pages.
  • Database connectivity is provided by Microsoft Data Access.
  • All provided by Microsoft.
