Allied Sequencing Programs

NHGRI is involved in several initiatives that cross the bounds of individual institute goals. These allied sequencing programs are conceived and managed by program staff from multiple NIH institutes. Allied Sequencing Program Initiatives are typically large in scale and include a range of sequencing projects.

Allied sequencing programs usually have policies and procedures that are separate from those that apply to NHGRI sequencing programs, in particular with regard to how specific sequencing targets are selected within a program and how the community can access human sequence data that result from the program.
