The Jimmy Carter Plant Materials Center finds plant solutions for the diverse
landscape of the southeast. The Center has released over 25 improved
conservation plants including varieties of giant bulrush, daylily, yellow
indiangrass and crabapple, and has developed technology for improving wetland
and riparian areas, grazing lands and urban landscapes. The Center also leads
several research projects on conservation buffers and cover crops.
