The Combinatorial Methods Group develops infrastructure and methodology for high-throughput measurements on polymer materials including films and coatings, complex fluid formulations, nanostructured systems, and functional materials such as adhesives; and provides expertise on the design and implementation of combinatorial methods to the industrial and scientific communities, and in support of NIST programs, including facilities for demonstrations, method validation, and collaborative data generation. The group works closely to address issues of the Electronics Materials and Biomaterials Groups for their structure and properties characterization, and co-ordinates the NIST Combinatorial Methods Center, a multi-tier consortium which directly serves the needs of industrial, academic, and government customers.
