  • National MCH Center for Child Death Review
Local and state child death review teams review sudden unexpected child death with a goalof preventing future deaths in their communities. The national center, supported by a HRSA/Maternal & Child Health Bureau grant, provides technical support and capacity building for local and state teams. A child death review case reporting system has been developed with input from teams to support state and local team data maintenance and standardized reporting. It provides the opportunity for multistate review of circumstances surrounding the deaths of children, providing sufficient detail on circumstances for effective targeting of local and state interventions.
