Abstract:

This report presents results of a project funded by HRSA's Division of Nursing and the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality. It discusses a model curriculum to prepare and qualify nurse practitioners for authority to write prescriptions and standard criteria to evaluate the competence of family nurse practitioners applying for prescriptive authority.
