The U.S. Railroad Retirement Board (RRB) has named Henry M.
Valiulis as its Director of Administration.
An independent Federal agency headquartered in Chicago, the RRB
administers the $8.5 billion-a-year benefit programs provided under the Federal
Railroad Retirement and Unemployment Insurance Acts covering the nation's
railroad workforce and their families.
As Director of Administration, Mr. Valiulis will oversee and
coordinate those offices providing management and administrative support
services for the agency. He will also serve as a member of the RRB's Executive
Committee, which is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the agency and
for making recommendations to the three-member Board on agency-related policy
issues.
An RRB employee since 1973, Mr. Valiulis had served as the RRB's
Director of Supply and Service since 1985, and in recent months also as Acting
Director of Administration.
Mr. Valiulis is a graduate of DePaul University (B.S. 1973,
M.B.A. 1977). He and his wife, Ramona, reside in Wheaton, Illinois.
