The U.S. Railroad Retirement Board (RRB) has named Keith B. Earley as its Director of Human Resources.

An independent Federal agency headquartered in Chicago, the RRB administers the $8.5 billion-a-year benefit programs provided under the Federal Railroad Retirement and Unemployment Insurance Acts covering the nation's railroad workforce and their families.

As Director of Human Resources, Mr. Earley will be responsible for administering the agency's personnel management and labor relations programs. An RRB employee since 1983, he previously served as Acting Director of Human Resources, and before that as Director of Resource Management Center. Mr. Earley has also served as an Assistant to the Director of Programs, as a Programs Analyst, and as an Equal Employment Opportunity Counselor.

Mr. Earley earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Northwestern University and a Master of Arts degree (with honors) from Governor's State University. He is a volunteer tutor for the not-for-profit organization, Jobs for Youth, and a competitive power lifter. Mr. Earley and his wife are the parents of two children, and are members of an International Student Host Program. As a host family, they have welcomed high school students from Germany and Japan to their Flossmoor, Illinois home.
