In this eBriefing, Robert A. Matano, Ph.D., Assistant Professor, and
Stanley F. Wanat, Ph.D., Research Analyst, Department of Psychiatry and
Behavioral Sciences, Stanford University, describe preliminary findings from a
research study funded by the Center for Substance Abuse Prevention's Division
of Workplace Programs. The study focuses on alcohol prevention under managed
care and the use of an interactive Web site to provide assessment and normative
feedback of substance use patterns for at-risk employees. The Web site provides
employee health promotion information as an intervention strategy.
