Millennium Challenge Corporation Releases 2007 Annual Report

Report Highlights MCC Programs are Changing Lives

Washington, DC – The Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) today released its 2007 Annual Report summarizing how MCC programs are changing the lives of the poor in partner countries.  The report chronicles MCC’s achievements, specifically developments during fiscal year 2007, to reduce poverty through economic growth and, as a result, positively impact some of the world’s poorest people in 40 countries worldwide. 

MCC CEO Ambassador John Danilovich noted in the report, “With early results on the ground, MCC is poised for further success as our compacts and threshold programs reach full implementation.  The progress made to date will help MCC deliver a wide range of significant and sustainable results that will stimulate economic growth, reduce poverty, and make a real difference in the lives of the poor around the world.”

The 2007 Annual Report is structured around three main themes—who we are, what we do, and why we do-what we do—to help educate American taxpayers, members of Congress, partner countries, nongovernmental organizations, and other stakeholders about how MCC is a unique approach to reducing poverty through economic growth.
