MCC CEO Ambassador John Danilovich and DFID's Douglas Alexander MP sign an agreement that will
increase coordination on poverty reduction efforts between the two organizations.  The Memorandum
of Understanding signed at DFID Headquarters in London February 18 is the first-of-its-kind between MCC
and DFID and speficially addresses immediate possibilities for collaboration in African countries.

MCC and DFID Sign Agreement to Coordinate Poverty-Reduction Efforts

On Feb., 19, 2008, the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) and the UK Department for International Development (DFID) signed a first-of-its-kind Memorandum of Understanding between the two organizations which will increase coordination and make their poverty reduction efforts more effective in Africa and throughout the globe.

MCC CEO Ambassador John J. Danilovich and the Secretary of State for International Development, Douglas Alexander MP signed the memorandum at DFID’s London Headquarters as the culmination of a series of working-level meetings between the two agencies’ officials.
