Get ESI Maps and GIS Data

NOAA's Office of Response and Restoration provides Environmental Sensitivity Index (ESI) maps and GIS data in a several formats.

Instructions for Purchasing or Downloading ESIs

  1. Review the ESI availability page to find out what areas have ESI atlases and the formats that are available. (Some formats aren't available for all atlases.)

  2. Decide on the ESI maps/atlases and formats that you want.

  3. Get ESI maps and data for your area by either:

    1. Downloading free maps and data.

    2. Purchasing paper maps or CD/DVDs using the order forms below. (The cost covers materials and shipping.)

  4. If you have questions, contact the ESI Specialist.

Order Forms
  • ESI Atlas CD/DVD Order Form Use this form to purchase ESI atlases on CD/DVD. Unless otherwise noted on the form, each disk contains a regional collection of ESI maps in PDF format, GIS data in multiple formats, programs to view and query the data, and ESI guidance documents.
    (Document format: PDF, size: 60.7 K)
  • ESI Map Order Form Use this form to purchase paper versions of individual ESI maps (full color map on one side, data table on the other).
    (Document format: PDF, size: 36.1 K)
