RCFL National Program Office

This past September, the RCFL National Program Office (NPO) sent a solicitation notice to all 56 FBI Field Divisions seeking proposals for a new RCFL. Out of 11 proposals received, the site selection panel named six semi-finalists. A site survey team consisting of 3 members from the site selection panel personally conducted on-site visits at all six semi-finalist locations. At the conclusion of the visits, the panel's recommendations were presented to FBI Director Robert S. Mueller III for a final decision.

On April 28, 2008, Director Mueller publicly announced the locations of two new RCFLs in Los Angeles and Albuquerque. The RCFL NPO is pleased to welcome them to the RCFL Network and will work closely with members of the FBI’s Los Angeles and Albuquerque Divisions to build and equip the laboratories, as well as to train and certify those individuals that will eventually staff and manage the RCFLs.

*For RCFL Applicants OnlyTell Us What You Think! Any and all applicants – including FBI and non-FBI staff— that submitted a proposal for a new RCFL can share their experiences and input about the site selection process with the National Program Office. Just complete this survey - it takes about 10 minutes.
