Wild Rabbits as Pets

Question -   Why do wild rabbits not make very good pets?

First, wild cottontail rabbits are usually very "nervous" and do not adapt
well to being handled or stressed. Second, wild animals in general should be
left in the wild; not only are they not good pets its not a good idea to
remove them from their wild homes. Thanks for your interest.

Wild rabbits have grown up in the wild and feel most comfortable
there. To them people are dangerous. They can also carry other
diseases that can transfer to your other pets or even to people. It is
best to leave wild rabbits wild and get a domestic rabbit as a pet.
