name Oksana status educator age 40s Question - Are grasshoppers the only insects that jump? I'm writhing on behalf of my little kinderarten student Janay. This was her question. Many, many insects jump, including crickets, katydids, and others similar to grasshoppers. Tiny springtails and many leaf and tree hoppers do amazing jumps for their size, and of course there are fleas that jump. J. Elliott ========================================================= Oh my, no. Fleas jump, crickets jump, click beetles jump (by snapping their heads), and springtails jump, to name the few that pop into my head. Richard E.
