Project Data Management Plan(PDMP) Description

An archival plan had been worked out in 1989, with the concurrence of all investigators and code HQ/SS, essentially affirming the informal understanding up to that time. Real-time data acquired at the NASA or other sites are stored out at GSFC for each experiment, taped, and mailed out to the respective investigators for processing/reducing. These data are archived at the NSSDC as soon as they are ready, with a customary proprietary period before distribution.
