Leaders Meet in New Orleans to Review the Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America

April 22, 2008 – In New Orleans, Louisiana, President Bush met with President Felipe Calderón of México and Prime Minister Stephen Harper of Canada, to review progress under the Security and Prosperity Partnership (SPP) of North America.  Afterwards, the three leaders had a meeting with the North American Competitiveness Council.  Among the achievements of the SPP has been the completion of the North American Plan for Avian and Pandemic Influenza, and the exchange of technical liaison staff between the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and the Public Health Agency of Canada
