Maryland is a diverse state with diverse energy sources.  In 2004, as part of President Bush’s hydrogen fuel initiative, Maryland opened the Nation’s first public-integrated hydrogen and gasoline fueling station.  Maryland is also home to the Calvert Cliffs nuclear power plant, which has been in operation since the 1970s.
