External Outreach and Minority Affairs:
OCC Highlights

What is OCC Highlights?

OCC Highlights is a semi-annual e-newsletter specifically geared toward the interests of minority financial institutions, consumers, and organizations. The publication, which is issued by the External Outreach and Minority Affairs (EOMA) unit at the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, features current events, resources, and initiatives relevant to EOMA’s mission of broadening awareness of minority banking issues throughout the nation. Through this medium, the OCC—federal regulator of national banks (established in 1863)—aims to serve as a trusted source of information on banking matters of importance to your organization. With this goal in mind, OCC Highlights includes the following:

  • Updates on OCC initiatives and activities aimed at benefiting the minority community;
  • A listing of current resources in areas of minority banking and consumer affairs;
  • Minority affairs-related information on key consumer advisories, guidance, and news bulletins from the OCC; and
  • Information that will help you establish and strengthen partnerships with organizations that work to improve economic opportunities for minorities.

To provide feedback about a featured article in OCC Highlights, contact the OCC’s External Outreach and Minority Affairs unit at EOMA@occ.treas.gov or (202)874-2701.
